The main components hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulphate support the natural joint function on several levels. Hyaluronic acid is naturally the main component of synovial fluid (joint fluid), which lubricates the joint and protects the cartilage through a viscous layer. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid is a building block of joint cartilage and connective tissue. Chondroitin sulphate forms a large part of the cartilage mass and is thus known to be an important component of cartilage. The contained manganese is actively involved in bone and cartilage formation as a cofactor and is therefore an important trace element for joint health. Methionine is an essential amino acid, it has an antioxidant effect in the body and provides sulphur, which is necessary for cartilage regeneration. Antioxidant components from grapes and vitamin E complete the formula.
